Tales from Space: About a Blob Review

Everybody is aware that aliens are not welcome on our beautiful blue planet. There are bullies that usually end up in the autopsy. Our neighbors do not count stellar and leave such actions go without punishment, but we will send a division of blobs Wolverines to devour us all. Tales From Space: About a Blob is one of those games for PlayStation Network to put together lot of blast but not covering a hole in the consoles catalog. It is the first game of DrinkBox Studios that is seeking for good debut, surely not the final.

If you imagine even aliens like little gray men or as hairy critters and eat cats, it is high time for you to watch The Blob. These gelatinous masses are capable of consuming everything that come in their path, no matter of the same size or slightly smaller than them, so they grow and continue eating anything. The protagonist of the story falls into the hands of a scientist, but soon begins its escape from the laboratory to other locations to spread terror and absorb what comes in contact with the area. As we see, there are more suspect than a passing resemblance to the classic movie The Blob, in which draws from a humorous perspective and includes many gags hidden in the background, some to scientists, are nods to other games like Super Mario Bros., Pac Man or Punch Out!

Blobs just over peacekeepers have already made their appearance in the world of video games, they obviously think to A Boy but it definitely moves to the dark side of the force with this title. Tales from Space: About a Blob available for download on PSN and combining the platform and the reflection effect allows you to play as an alien who feeds a frank grudge against humans. Do not be a simple matter of experience, break your chains and devour all that you fall under the gelatin to become huge. Blob is a mixture of 60% and 40% puzzles platforms, but the intelligence is not as demanding, or difficult, as the case may be Braid. The control is simple for the most part, and the jumps and other sections are not also too complicated, except when you use a skill that is achieved later. Blob can even grab a ledge and not fall, drain into small spaces, and push some obstacles.

The principle of Tales from Space: About a Blob is simple: you start the adventure while you're just a tiny blob, but you will quickly gain momentum by absorbing the everyday objects around you. Specifically you can eat anything that is smaller than you to grow gradually. At first you'll have to settle for meals made from pins or screws, but you'll soon present a real threat to mankind ... In the manner of a Katamari, it is really fun to grow bigger and change gradually scale. The blob is not content to digest the objects or creatures that ingest it can also spit out its enemies to explode or to activate mechanisms. Some chapters require little skill to avoid the dangers; you cannot move very far in the levels without scratching your head. The title is full of puzzles, in fact more or less eccentric who will ask you to make good use of the capabilities of the blob. The latter is a glutton and a compulsive eater, but it also has two other strings to its bow.
